Overview of Our Titicaca Tour with overnight on the island of Amantani (experiential tourism – 2 days 1 night). Day 1: Puno – Uros Islands – Amantani.

Overnight at host family. Day 2: Taquile – Puno.

12:30 – 15:30 Motorized boat trip to the port of the city of Puno.

Our tour begins with the pick up from your hotel in the town of Puno around 7:00 am to head for the port of Lake Titicaca where we will board our boat that will take us through the different tourist attractions of the lake.
Our first stop will be the Floating Islands of the Uros. Here we will be able to appreciate small local communities and families that live in these islands that are built based on the totora that come from the same Lake Titicaca, also our guide will explain the importance of these islands, our visit will be at most 1 hour and half. Immediately afterwards we will head towards the island of Amantani we will take about 2:30 hours of navigation during the trip you will be able to observe a great variety of scenic beauty. Once we are in Amantani Island we will have a guided walk through the mountain of the Place and enjoy a beautiful landscape.
In the evening, each group of travelers will be assigned a host family of the island. They will welcome you in their homes and make them participants of their different customs, will share their food that are made with local products. After dinner, the members of the family will dress them in typical costumes and take them to a traditional party, where they will dance and sing alongside the town and other guests.
After a delicious typical breakfast we head towards the island of Taquile, we will sail for approximately 1 hour.
In Taquile will walk along a road close enjoying of breathtaking views of the Lake Titicaca. Once inside the people we will have free time to stroll and learn more about the people and visit the various workshops which produce their tissues. The island of Taquile is famous for the production of textiles, which show their worldview, ways of life and different customs and beliefs of the place in its symbolism. The Taquileños have demonstrated their high degree of progress in the textile, receiving his award by UNESCO to keep intact their customs.
At lunchtime we met for lunch at a local restaurant and taste the typical food of the island of Taquile.
After the visit guided, the boat us take of turned to the port of the city of Puno will arrive around them 15:30 hrs, the tour ends with the transfer to your hotel.

Very personal experience and well worth the money, the day before Yang our travel assistant came our hotel to give us a briefing and recommendations to make rainbow mountai tour and answered all our questions, the altitude is no joke though so definitely drink a lot of water or some pills prior to the trip. Our guides Carlos, Marta and driver Pedro were all brilliant. At all times they were helpful knowledgeable and made the experience memorable. HIGHLY recommend! these guys for your adventure in cusco.
