Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca

Our Rainbow Mountain tour start with pick you up from your hotel between 4:00 am to 4:45 am We will travel by car around 2 hours and 30 minutes to the south until arriving to Cusipata – Paucarpata district, In our journey pass through the urcos town, checacupe district passing this point we will continue along a road passing through small villages until we reach the community of Cusipata – Paucarpata where we take the breakfast. After the breakfast we will travel by car 30 minutes to the control point, where we will start our trek, the trek will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, You can advance at your pace and observe in detail the flora of the Andes as well as open your arms and breath the clean air of the Andes.
Important: It is posible that you can rent a horse for your confort or walking sticks . Request this service at the time of the quote. On the way we will pass through mountains, a narrow path, small streams, always under the permission of the high snow, especially the snowy Apu Ausangate.

Approximately at 11:00 in the morning we will reach at top of the Mountain know as Vinicunca – rainbow mountain. All the effort of the 1 hour adn 30 minutes of hiking will be rewarded with the dazzling view of the rainbow mountain. Our guide will give us a description about the orography, ecosystem and color of the mountain, we can also use this moment to take photos of the memory and admire the beautiful landscape.

We return by the same route, first we walk back to the control point where our transport will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata, where we will enjoy the buffet lunch.  and finally return to Cusco. We will arrive in Cusco between 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Recommendations: We recommend our passengers to rest on the way to have energy for the walk. As the sun rises you can observe the typical Peruvian Andean landscape and villages along the route.
